Domino is a meeting place for catholic (and other) students and young people at the Dominican priory, Sandgatan 8, Lund.

In our different meetings we speak English when so is needed. We have some fixed meeting occasions such as Student Mass on Wednesdays and Taizé prayers every second Tuesday night. But according to the wishes of each one we do also other things together, like nature excursions, film evenings, discussions…
Also non-catholics, non-believers, non-anything are welcome to participate – all voices are welcome.

Recurrent activities
Student Mass and lunch
Wednesdays at 12.10. Mass is mostly preached in English. Afterwards we´re having lunch together and we try to have a discussion on a subject choosen by someone of us. Lunch is prepared by the students and then we share the cost.
English Mass
Every third Sunday/month we attend the English Mass in the parish of Saint Thomas 5.30 pm – and afterwards we have a gathering. What is the most insisting character of Christians since the early Church? Well, that they gather on Sundays… Saint Thomas Church is situated at Stora Tomegatan in the center of Lund.
Prayer in the spirit of Taizé
Every first and second Tuesday/month, start Sep 1st at 7.30 pm. Afterwards we take a tea and talk on an interesting subject.
We started to practice Taizé prayers a few years ago, and some of us found it a good way to relate to God and being in prayer together. Taizé is a monastery in France which has developed a prayer with songs repeated for a long while and with moments of silence. It´s a way of praying that alouds you to enter in communion with God and the others in a simple way. That is also the way we are practising it.The picture is from a prayertime in Taizé. Listen to and learn the songs (the different voices redorded separately).
Last Easter we went to Taizé, 16 of us together and spent a whole week there. I thing it was an important occasion for many of us to live this simpicity and prayers together. Hopefully we´ll make another journey next year, what do you say about that?
Walking in nature
Now and then we take a bus or train out somewhere and start walking. And then we walk and talk or just meditate of your own, we take picnic in a beautiful spot and get home tired. A really spiritual thing, walking together. Sometimes we walk or bike to the dominican monastary in Rögle, 10 km from Lund and celebrate Sunday Mass out there.
